Find hope on your journey towards wholeness
Do you feel unsettled, worried or stuck? Do you have a sense that you are in a rut, created from doing the same things over and over, and not getting different results? Maybe you feel unsatisfied in your relationships, or that your life lacks meaning? We can help you become unstuck, and move forward.
If you lack emotional connection, life can feel flat and directionless. At Canvas, we can walk alongside you, through your pain to a place of healing for your body, mind, and spirit. Going into dark places alone can feel terrifying, but healing comes when you are connected with a trusted "other."
The process of personal work involves your participation to self-reflect, with the goal of transformation and re-creation, even when it feels uncomfortable. Hope is restored when you are not walking the road alone, knowing that you have a greater capacity to face your personal challenges.

My hope is that you experience freedom from old patterns of relating to the world, learn to express difficult emotions, challenge limiting beliefs and create more meaningful life experiences. I work within this approach using emotion focused, experiential and attachment based therapies. I, also, have Level 1 training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, (AEDP). At Canvas Counselling, we offer individual counselling focussing on the following areas:
- life transitions (divorce, marriage, parenting, school)
- self-esteem and assertiveness
- relationships and healthy attachment
- anxiety and stress
- emotional regulation
- personal and spiritual growth

You feel so alone. The hurt and pain you are dealing with can feel so consuming at times. You have people in your life, but you’re not sure if they can handle what you are dealing with.
Imagine feeling deeply connected with yourself and others around you. Imagine feeling confident in who you are again. You are courageous and determined. You know that it is time to get help to heal and change, and you are motivated to make it happen.
I work with individuals and couples to work through the distressing or disturbing experiences you have experienced. Working with your goals for therapy in mind, I will help you explore your emotional needs and desires for yourself and the relationships you are in, so that you can live more authentically. I offer individual and couples counselling in the following areas:
- trauma and PTSD
- relationship issues
- sexual abuse
- domestic abuse
I am also registered with the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) to provide counselling services to victims, immediate family members and some witnesses in coping with the effects of violent crime. For more information on the program and eligibility, click here.

I believe we all have the capacity to experience change and growth when we allow for space to be seen as we are in a trusting environment. My hope is that you not only develop a greater awareness within yourself, but that you truly feel heard, understood, and known. I will come alongside you and hold space for you, guide you, and support you. In my work I take on the role of therapist and advocate while operating through family systems and attachment based therapies, and utilize experiential and trauma-informed interventions. I work in the following areas:
- PTSD and secondary trauma
- suicidal ideation
- attachment / codependency
- life transitions (purpose, school, work, relationships, leaving family)
